Samuel Augustus Mitchell, c.1860, Oregon and Washington (Includes Idaho as part of Washington). Handsome in full hand color, about 10 3/4 by 13 inches.   Idaho not yet established and is still part of Washington territory.  A handsome map showing counties, rivers, mountains, cities, and rail.      Mitchell's maps from this series are some of the more attractive maps from this period.  This map is enhanced with a decorative and very handsome border, making this an especially attractive map.   Different editions of the identical map may have a slightly different decorative border.  $395   Seldom available, so we recommend that you place your name on the waiting list for this map.


A. J. Johnson, c. 1862, Washington (includes Idaho as a part of Washington) and Oregon. Hand colored. About 16 1/2 by 12 1/2 inches. Idaho not yet established and is still part of Washington territory. Detailed early county (each differently colored) map showing landforms, early settlements and towns, rail and stage routes.     George Cram, c. 1884-1899, Idaho. The map shown is in printed outline color.  later editions are in full color with each county separately colored.   It measures about 9 3/4 by 12 1/4 inches and is a detailed county map depicting landforms, counties, rail road lines, cities and towns.  Maps such as these came from the first widely used atlases published for family use in America.  Different editions are slightly differently colored.  $25

Rand McNally, 1895-1911. 1900, Idaho. Printed color, each county separately colored, about 12 1/2 by 9 1/4 inches. A detailed map depicting landforms, counties, rail road lines, cities and towns.   No road system is shown as yet.  The extensive rail system evidences its importance.    Also includes a table (not shown in picture) on the left and right of the map of land area, counties and chief cities.  The technology used to develop these maps was so advanced that they at once made all competitors maps obsolete.  $25

Matthew Northrup's Century Atlas, c.  1897-1911, Idaho and Wyoming.  Includes a large inset of Yellowstone National Park.  Printed color, in a uniform light green color with the county boundaries highlighted.  About 10 1/2 by 15 inches. A very fine "modern" looking map with a "piano key" border. The map depicts landforms, including contours showing elevations above sea level. Includes counties, rail lines, roads, cities and towns.   These are superb maps for accuracy and detail.  A map of choice for many collectors.  $45


Dodd Meade and Company, c. 1903, Idaho  Printed color, about 8 1/4 by 10 1/4 inches. A very "modern" looking map with excellent detail. The map depicts landforms and includes counties, rail lines, cities and towns. $15
