Herman Moll/Homann Heirs, 1732-1756, Virginia und Maryland. First published by Herman Moll in the late 1600's and now published by Homann Heirs. Full, strong, handsome, original hand color, about 8 by 10 3/4 inches. This map was originally on a page with three other maps and has been expertly re-margined to provide for framing. A delightful early map of the Chesapeake Bay including Maryland and the mid and western part of Virginia. Delaware has not yet been established so that area is shown as being part of Pennsylvania. It is in excellent condition with some very light toning. It shows details such as forests, mountains, forts, Indian tribes and early settlements and roads. Herman Moll/Homann Heirs, 1732-1756, Carolina nebsteinem Theil von Florida. Full, strong, handsome, original hand color, about 8 by 10 3/4 inches. It provides good detail of the existing counties, " English Plantations", and "Native American Plantations" and settlements as they were in the early 1700s.This is a very fine map, which has had its margins extended to allow for framing, and is in excellent condition with no toning. It shows details such as forests, forts, Indian tribes and early settlements and roads. A wonderful map. $495
