J. Greenleaf, 1840, Buenos Ayres, Chili & Patagonia (Argentina). Uncolored, about 12 1/4 by 10 3/4 inches. Fully hand colored, lithographed map. Primarily a map of Argentina. The area identified as "Beunos Ayres" (northern half of present day Argentina) includes Paraguay and Uruguay in its boundaries. Buenos Ayres is divided into several provinces while Patagonia is not. Extremely well detailed for such an early map, showing cities, towns, settlements and landforms. An interesting time in Argentina's history. $75
