Allard/Blaue, 1690, Paraqvaria Vulgo Paragvay. Bright full color, about 17 3/4 by 21 1/2 inches. A wonderful map of the northern part of Argentina, all of Uruguay and Paraguay, and southern Brazil. The map extends from the the Rio de La Plata to the Pacific coast. Includes three decorative cartouches. Shows cities, towns, mountains, rivers, and other early information and includes two ships. The condition is excellent. $550

Uncolored, about 8 1/2 by 13 inches. A delightful map of the north part of Brazil
extending from the Guiana's south to Bahia and showing a large part of the Amazon River and
many early details including cities, towns, and landforms. A wonderful early map in fine condition. $50
Rigobert Bonne (c.1729 - c.1795) was a very well known and distinguished French Royal
Hydrographic whose principal interest lay in the production of marine charts. He was
one of the leading cartographers of his age.
Samuel Augustus Mitchell, c.1867, Brazil. Handsome in full color, about 10 1/2 by 13 1/2 inches. A handsome map showing countries, rivers, mountains, cities, and rail. This map includes a second map of Chile along the left hand side. as well and 3 insets, one of the Island of Juan Fernandez, another of the Harbor of Bahia, and the last one of the Harbor of Rio Janeiro. Mitchell's maps from this series are some of the more attractive maps from this period, this map is enhanced with a decorative "garland" of flowers which provides a handsome border, making this an especially attractive map. $70 Sold
