Abraham Ortelius, 1570, Indiae Orientalis. Original color and measuring about 13 3/4 x 19 1/2 inches. A beautiful map of South East Asia.  The map shows Japan, South East Asia, India, Malaysia, Indonesia, New Guinea, and North Western North America.  This is a very decorative Ortelius map with a ship wreck, mermaids and an attractive cartouche.  The map is in excellent condition. $5000

Also includes a decorative border. Different editions have a slightly different decorative border.   Includes Burma, Siam and Straits peninsula and insets of Calcutta, Madras, and Bombay, plus a vignette view of the Government House and Treasury Calcutta. $95
